Ah, summer. Or as it’s known around these parts: patio season.
And what a patio season it’s been so far! Fervent HQ has been buzzing and booming with all the new programs and clients we’re servicing.
Of course, we all like to unwind too. In fact, our perfect pairing for relaxation in the warm weather is patio season and the NBA playoffs.
What’s better than having a cold one with friends at your favourite bar while your favourite home team makes sports history?
That’s why one of our favourite activations so far in #FerventSummer2019 was the cheer card and newspaper distribution for the historic NBA playoffs of 2019!
Fervent organized a street sampling activation sponsored by the Toronto Star and the Dairy Farmers of Canada ahead of Game 2 of the playoffs.
A team of 20+ brand ambassadors were stationed at two locations in the city: Yonge-Dundas Square and St. Lawrence Market.
Fervent Events’ brand ambassadors were giving out cheer cards emblazoned with “Let’s Go Raptors!” and engaging passersby to raise spirits for the home team.
Promo reps gave a whopping 5000 cheer cards to excited fans all over the city. Each cheer card also had a link where fans could enter to win playoffs tickets.
Fans at both locations ranged from tiny tots to seasoned basketball enthusiasts.
But that wasn’t all!
After the incredible Game 6 win, the city of Toronto exploded with euphoria and fans celebrated all throughout the hot summer weekend until the championship parade the following Monday.
Fervent brand ambassadors were dispatched yet again to do a newspaper distribution during the parade.
Fervent Events outfitted the team of high energy reps with official 2019 Raptors Playoffs shirts to draw in the crowds and get them pumped for the celebrations.
Promo reps were stationed at Nathan Phillips Square and Union Station handing out copies of the Metro News with the legendary post-win cover featuring Kawhi Leonard doing what he does best. (#funguy stay in Toronto!)
