Have you heard of Wonderlist? If not, check it out. Signing up for Wonderlist’s E-mail rewards program gives you chances to win amazing prizes like sports and events tickets, and it’s free!

In 2013 and 2014, Fervent Events teamed up with Wonderlist to bring a fun activation to festivals across Toronto. Teams of brand ambassadors would set up tents where festival-goers can spin a prize wheel, sign up for the rewards program, and chat with promo reps.

Wonderlist identified events marketing as the most efficient way of attracting new subscribers. After getting in touch with Fervent Events, they hired us to implement activations at chosen festivals. Some of the festivals include the Canadian National Exhibition, Canada Day, and The Harbourfront Festival in 2013 & 2014.

Wonderlist provided rewards on the spot for consumers that chose to subscribe, and spin a wheel to win an instant prize.

Instant prizes include sunglasses, phone screen cleaners, lip balm and more. Three brand ambassadors were staffed to host the Wonderlist spin the wheel booth for interested event attendees. The sign-up was done via an iPad, while ambassadors deliver key messaging and components of Wonderlist.

The Results

7 festivals attended in a 3 month period each year.

20,000 new subscribers per year (10,000 from CNE alone).

Subscriptions up by as much as 53% at one festival in 2013 with Fervent Events compared to 2012 Wonderlist vendor.
