The Situation

Wonderlist have identified events marketing as the most efficient way of attracting new subscribers. Fervent Events were hired to implement activations at chosen festivals. Festivals attended incuded: The Canadian National Exhibition, Canada Day, and The Harbourfront Festival in 2013 & 2014.

The Activity

Wonderlist provided rewards on the spot for consumers that chose to subscribe, and spin a wheel to win an instant prize. Instant prizes include sunglasses, phone screen cleaners, lip balm and more. Three brand ambassadors were staffed to host the Wonderlist spin the wheel booth for interested event attendees. The signing up period is done via an ipad and takes 60-90 seconds, which is perfect time for ambassadors to go through key messaging and components of Wonderlist.

The Results

7 festivals attended in a 3 month period each year.

20,000 new subscribers per year (10,000 from CNE alone).

Subscriptions up by as much as 53% at one festival in 2013 with Fervent Events compared to 2012 Wonderlist vendor.
